Wordfest Festival || October 9th - 15th || Various Locations || This event is every literary lovers dream come true. Enjoy panels, games and books from over 70 authors and artists as they celebrate the power of words! Jerry Seinfeld || October 13th-14th || Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium || Whether they know him from his hit 90's T.V show, his Netflix special, or his old stand-up comedy, everyone loves Jerry Seinfeld. Good news, Calgary: he's coming to YYC to bring us two evenings of comedy gold! Avenue Calgary writes, "Seinfeld will bring his well-known, relatable, everyday life observations and comedy routine about nothing to Calgary audiences," so get your ticket to this incredible event. Calgary Women's Show || October 21st - 22nd || BMC Centre || Did someone say free samples? Ladies, this event is for you. Avenue Calgary writes, "This year, there will be more than 300 exhibits offering a wide range of services and products, as well as a celebrity guest appearance by Doug Davidson of The Young & The Restless. The Wizarding World of Okotoks || October 28th || Various Locations || You heard us right. Here is how Avenue Calgary explains this event: "experience the magical world of Harry Potter in the nearby town of Okotoks, just 30 minutes from Calgary. On October 28, the downtown area will be transformed into the Wizard World of Okotoks. During the one-day event, a local street will be turned into Diagon Alley, there will be a craft fair called Hogsmeade and even a quidditch tournament at Ethel Tucker Park."
