It is the most exciting time of the year... The Calgary Stampede has announced some of their unique, bizarre, mouth-watering, tasty 2025 midway treats! Here are the ones that we are most looking forward to trying out:
- Spam-pede Bao: "Inspired by a traditional Hawaiian snack filled with savoury spam, juicy garlic shrimp, sweet pineapple, fresh cucumbers, seaweed and drizzled with teriyaki sauce" (The Calgary Stampede).
- Apple Cinnamon Crumble Perogies: "Potato and cheddar filled bite sized perogies are dusted with cinnamon sugar, topped with warm apple pie filling and drizzled with a smooth vanilla glaze. A sprinkle of apple crumble and Cinnamon Toast Crunch bits add the perfect snap. Served with a side of sweet cream to dip" (The Calgary Stampede).
- Ramenrito: "Cheesy ramen noodles tangled up with juicy chicken and fresh veggies, all hugged by a warm, grilled tortilla. It’s creamy, savoury, and straight-up addictive. One bite and you’re hooked! This ain’t your average burrito" (The Calgary Stampede).
- Maple Glazed Donut Grilled Chesse: "This delicious twist features a maple glazed donut sliced in half, filled with our ooey gooey four cheese blend and then toasted to perfection. To balance it all off pick from crispy bacon or tender pulled pork to accompany it for the perfect sweet and savoury taste" (The Calgary Stampede).
- Crocodile-Aid Buckets: "Swampy, sweet & totally wild: Step into the swamp with this over-the-top adventure straight from the heart of the bayou. Crocodile-Aid bucket is a jumbo-sized swampy sensation—filled to the brim with ice-cold sweet tea mojito lemonade, bursting boba pearls, and swimming with chewy frogs and worms. - Calgary Mix Popcorn: "A take on the traditional Chicago Mix but keeping it Canadian with a little spice! Maple caramel popcorn and Nashville hot cheese popcorn" (The Calgary Stampede).
- Dubai Chocolate Funnel Cake: "Satisfy your sweet tooth with the Dubai Chocolate Funnel Cake! This golden, crispy funnel cake is drizzled with rich, velvety chocolate sauce and sprinkled with crushed pistachios for a nutty crunch. Topped with a dollop of whipped cream, it’s a decadent treat inspired by the viral Dubai chocolate trend—perfect for a sweet Stampede indulgence" (The Calgary Stampede).
- Smoked Tongue On A Stick: "Not for the faint of heart! A pork tongue cured & smoked to perfection in our on-site smokehouse. Served with a side of German mustard & Sauerkraut" (The Calgary Stampede).
- Doritos Fried Pizza Slice On A Stick: "A classic cheese slice gets halved, dipped in pancake batter, rolled in crushed Doritos, deep fried to crispy perfection, and skewered for easy handling. Finish it off with your choice of bold sauce drizzles, peppercorn ranch, buffalo & ranch, or smokey Texas BBQ & ranch, for a flavour explosion worthy of the wild west" (The Calgary Stampede).
