This thanksgiving season we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for this wonderful city we call home! Here are twenty-five things we're grateful for here in Calgary:

  1. The Bowness lagoon for swimming in the summer and skating in the winter
  2. Being one half of the Battle of Alberta during hockey season
  3. How gorgeous all the parks are when the trees turn golden in the fall
  4. The Lions Festival of Lights each Christmas
  5. Having not one, not two, but THREE farmers markets to enjoy
  6. Chinooks after stretches of freezing cold
  7. Stampede western spirit
  8. Hidden glacier erratics all over the city
  9. Seeing what color the Calgary Tower is each night
  10. The Winsport Skyline Luge
  11. Spotting celebrities when they're in town filming
  12. Gorgeous architecture, both new and old
  13. How close the city is to the mountains, and the view of them on clear days
  14. Maple Pecan ice cream from Village Ice Cream
  15. Spotting deer grazing on Nose Hill

  17. Old-fashioned sweets from Heritage Park
  18. The mini bus that takes you between terminals in the Calgary Airport
