The Bowness Community Association (BCA)
The BCA represents the community of Bowness in Calgary, Alberta and is behind the "We Love Bowness" movement. Established in 1963, the BCA is governed by a board of directors and resident committee volunteers. Their mission is:
"To serve Bowness, building a stronger community for all by respecting the history, diversity and natural beauty of Bowness. To provide a gathering place and hub of information. To create connections through recreational, educational, social and cultural opportunities. To foster an environment of collaboration and respect with all stakeholders."
The BCA hosts numerous events throughout the year, such as hockey tournaments, the annual Bowness Stampede Parade, Ice Breaker, Valentine's Day Dance, Christmas Craft Fair, Movies in the Park and more. Bowness has always been a tight-knit community, and the BCA is committed to keeping it that way by bringing residents together. They are passionate advocates for Bowness and welcome all.
