Carrington is a brand new community located on the north side of Stoney Trail in Calgary's northwest. It is being developed by Genstar, a recognized developer for their work in communities such as Panorama Hills, Lake Bonavista and Lakeview. Carrington encourage all potential buyers to "live on the brighter side of the street!" which competes with its neighbour of Livingston to the east. Both communities are part of the Keystone Hills development, which once completed challenges to be the city's largest suburb. Homes for sale in Carrington are priced higher than properties in Livingston, mainly because of its NW tag. Houses are priced higher once you cross over from the northeast to the northwest even if the two communities have similar options and share amenities. Carrington, however, does have some custom builders within the area that build larger executive style homes on walkout lots. Arcuri is one of those custom builders, who are well known for their work in Panorama and Panatella Estates. Homes by Avi also has some great upscale options in this neighbourhood. To the western side of the area, you will find the sub-community built by Mattamy, Canada's largest real estate developer. Neighbouring communities include Panorama Hills, Evanston and Livingston. Amenities are currently shared with those areas and include Creekside Shopping Centre, Vivo Rec Centre, Landmark Studio 16 Theatre and many other major retailers.
