Sound the alarm! Valentine's Day is TOMORROW, so mark your calendar! While some people do not like Valentine's Day, brushing it off as a Hallmark Card holiday, we always appreciate an opportunity to show people we love them. Here are some ways to spread love to everyone in your life this Valentine's Day, regardless of your relationship status:
- For your Coworkers: Nothing says 'I Love You' at the office quite like a box of Tim Horton's Donuts and fresh coffee. It is a classic Canadian gesture and will be sure to have the break room raving.
- For your Family: Most families appreciate nothing more than quality time. Carve out an evening to get together for dinner and board games, or to watch the big game. Being in each others presence is precious these days.
- For your Friends: Take time to text your friends something you appreciate about them! You don't have to write an essay; even just a quick, "I really appreciate having you as a friend, hope you have a great day," goes a long way.
- For your Neighbourhood: Take some time to walk through your community and say hi to people as you pass by! It may snow this week, so get your shovel and clear some extra sidewalks.
- For your Pet: Pets are important members of our lives! Stop by Petland to get them a treat and take them for an extra long walk or playtime, they'll appreciate it!
- For Your Special Someone: You don't have to buy an expensive meal to say I love you. Write them a nice note and pick up their favourite treat. Take the time to tell them how much you care, and enjoy some quality time together.
Valentine's Day can be for whoever you want it to be; even yourself. Spend some time remembering how far you have come and treat yourself to something that will make you happy.
