- Calgary may be nicknamed Cowtown, but it is THE cleanest city in the world.
- If you’re in need of volunteers, look no further than Calgary, a city that has more volunteers per capita than any other city in the world.
- The coldest temperature on record in Calgary is -45°C. The warmest recorded temperature is 36.1°C. Calgary has a warm wind that comes over the mountains called a ‘Chinook.’ Chinooks can raise the temperature up to 15°C in a matter of hours.
- Calgary is the sunniest city in Canada, getting an average of 2600 hours of sun each year.
