As stated on their website, the "Calgary Police Service strives to preserve the quality of life in our community by maintaining Calgary as a safe place to live, work and visit." These brave men and women do an incredible job of serving our city with dignity and grace, upholding justice for all.
The Calgary Police frequently host informal information evenings, where you can meet them for coffee and ask them questions about the city, what serving as officers is like, how to help with crime prevention, how to become a police officer yourself, etc.! If you are interested in criminal justice, you may also glean a lot from the city's annual Law Day, where the courts and chambers are opened to the public to learn more!
