Griffith Woods
Griffith Woods is a protected natural habitat located in southwest Calgary, Alberta. This is an excellent place for beginners to explore nature on easy, flat trails that wind through the woods. There is a bridge with a small beach area perfect for picnicking and photos. Wildlife abounds in this quiet oasis. Listen closely and you'll hear the birds singing and the scurrying of squirrels. Dogs are welcome here on-leash and runners frequent the trails. Just check their website for updates, because bears have been known to wander into this piece of heaven!
