The Calgary Tower
The Calgary Tower has been a staple of the Calgary Skyline ever since its unveiling in 1967. Created by Husky Oil and Marathon Realty Company Limited to celebrate Canada's centennial and contribute to the urban renewal plan, this 626 foot tall tower is the place to go to get a million dollar view of the city. You can take the elevators up to the viewing deck, where glass flooring allows you to walk on air, or go one level higher to the Sky 360 lounge, a restaurant that slowly revolves. Plan your trip for dusk to watch golden hour encompass the city. Fun Fact: 60% of the weight for the tower is below ground!
