YAHOO, CALGARY! It is officially Stampede Season. The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth is hitting the Stampede grounds from July 4-13, and we are so excited for the festivities. Every year the Calgary Stampede brings something new to the city, so don't fool yourself into thinking you've been there, done that. Pull our your cowboy boots, turn the radio to country music, and check it out!
Here are some of the things we are most looking forward to this Calgary Stampede:
- Stage of Wonders - Neon Frontier: "Prepare to be amazed by the enchanting new act Magician & the Muse, witness the world’s most daring escape artist push the limits of the impossible right before your eyes" (The Calgary Stampede).
- Stampede Stand-Up: "For one night only, the Stage of Wonders becomes a licensed 18+ Comedy Club! Catch a stagecoach of Canada's funniest comedians mining laughs from every corner of life! Marriage, dating, people, politics, and everything in between, nothing is safe from their keen comedy minds" (The Calgary Stampede).
- The Stampede Cellar Champion Wine Experience: "Presented by Holt Renfrew, [this] welcomes guests to a sophisticated, speakeasy-style lounge designed to offer a relaxing escape to sip and savour the winning wines from the Stampede Cellar Showdown International Wine Competition while taking in live music, panoramic views of Stampede Park" (The Calgary Stampede).
- BMO Community Square: "[This] is a vibrant gathering place at the heart of the Calgary Stampede, offering a welcoming atmosphere with comfortable seating and dynamic entertainment. As a true community hub, it features the Community Stage, showcasing inclusive cultural performances from GlobalFest and events like the Robot Rodeo youth robotics competition" (The Calgary Stampede).
- Canadian Armed Forces: "Visit the Canadian Armed Forces area on Stampede Park to meet heroes from the Canadian Army, Royal Canadian Air Force, and The Royal Canadian Navy. You can see equipment up close, such as a the Canadian Army’s Leopard II Main Battle Tank, the Royal Canadian Navy’s Torpedo, and the Royal Canadian Air Force’s CF-18 Hornet Cockpit, and learn more about the work of the Canadian Armed Forces" (The Calgary Stampede).
- The Sam Centre: "The story of the Stampede - and the story of Calgary - is a legendary story. Full of excitement and emotion, twists and turns, challenges and celebrations. It's an epic tale that will move you, connect you to this city, and most importantly it's a story that includes you. At Sam Centre, our guests are immersed and involved in our ongoing story.
