YAHOO, CALGARY! It is officially Stampede Season. The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth is hitting the Stampede grounds from July 4-13, and we are so excited for the festivities. Every year the Calgary Stampede brings something new to the city, so don't fool yourself into thinking you've been there, done that. This is new special day in Canada, and an important opportunity to learn more about the Indigenous People's of Canada and celebrate those who occupied this land before settlers arrived. Curious why it takes place this time of year?

The Government of Canada writes, "National Indigenous Peoples Day takes place on the summer solstice, the longest day of the year.
