The new year is right around the corner, and with it the desire for a fresh start. We want to remind you that you never have to wait for the new year. Every day is the opportunity for a new beginning, filled with endless potential to transform your situation into the life you’ve always dreamed of. Still, there is something special about a completely blank calendar year, just waiting to be filled with transformative adventure.
2025 marks the end of the first quarter of the century, making it a monumental year! Are you ready to make it your best one yet? Do you want to be your best self at this time next year? Here are some recommendations to get you started:
First, ask yourself this: “How would I be introduced on a podcast?” It may seem silly to those of you who aren’t dedicated podcast listeners, but the concept remains. If you were going to be introduced to the masses, what would you want your introduction to say? These are the qualities that make you unique, your achievements, and what mission you are on. For example: Ken Richter is a top-producing Calgary-based Real Estate Agent that has been the area expert for the communities of Bowness, Montgomery, and Bow Crescent for 35+ years. From coaching his children’s hockey teams to marshalling the Bowness Stampede Parade, Ken is dedicated to making his community and the city of Calgary home-sweet-home to many.
Next, consider what you need to do in order to make this best version of yourself a reality. Every moment of every day we have choices to make. Only make choices that serve the ideal version of yourself. Ask your future self questions such as: what time do you wake up, do you make your bed each morning, what is your monthly budget, where do you live, how do you interact with your coworkers, what clothes do you wear, how do you represent yourself online, what are your vacation plans, etc.. For example, if the ideal version of yourself wouldn’t spend $7.00 on a Starbucks coffee, then neither should you. As you make the decisions your perfect future self would, you will slowly become that person.
Finally, and most importantly, give yourself grace and reasonable goals! The biggest reason why people fail at their goals is because they bite off more than they can chew, and then give up when they’re not perfect. You’re only human, and you are allowed to make mistakes. Remember that small steps forward are still steps forward. It may feel like slow progress, but by this time next year, you’ll be looking back absolutely in awe of how far you’ve come.
We’re cheering you on!
