Coronavirus has completed changed the way our lives look. Words we used to only hear in disaster movies--ones such as herd immunity, social distancing, pandemic, isolation, etc.--have become a regular addition to our vernacular. Suddenly simple things like going to the grocery store or planning for school in the fall takes extra steps to thoughtfully plan through. COVID-19 has touched every aspect of our lives, including real estate.
When the world seemed to shut down back in March, real estate in Calgary, Alberta took a major hit. It was as if everyone held their collective breath, stopped in their tracks. Homes weren't selling and buyer's weren't buying. Plans to enter the real estate sector as a buyer, seller or investor were stopped short with the future suddenly becoming so unknown. It makes sense, and it was a good thing that people paused and took this virus seriously.
Now that the world is slowly reopening, we are starting to see movement in the real estate sector again. Buyers are beginning to finish what they started and sign on the bottom line, and sellers are putting their homes on the market again. If you are looking at entering the market, now is still a great time. Partner with Ken Richter and he can help you reach your real estate goals, even during a pandemic.
