Calgary Coffee Shops to Check Out

In Calgary we love our coffee shops!

Instead of giving money to a big corporation like Starbucks or Tim Hortons, support a local business! Here are some of the incredible local coffee shops in the city for you to taste test:

Cadence Coffee: “Cadence Coffee is a 21st century diner located in the heart of Bowness, where friends meet to enjoy great food, superfine coffee, and fresh baking.”

Analog: "Analog was founded with the view that every cup of coffee poured should be something special, and that ‘good enough’, is never good enough. The first Analog was opened in 2011 at the Calgary Farmers Market, followed by the 17th Ave location right in heart of the city’s beltline in 2012. Our community (and cafés) have only continued to grow from there."

Calgary Heritage Roasting Co: "Founded by Wildland Firefighters who honed their coffee-roasting skills on the Fireline, Canadian Heritage Roasting Co. is dedicated to delivering organic coffees that strike the perfect balance between bold and easy-drinking. Our mission is to fuel your next adventure while actively giving back to our wild places."

Our Daily Brett Market & Co: "Our Daily Brett is a market and cafe located in Calgary, Alberta. Visit us for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or drinks. Shop for mix and match treasures from our retail wall and groceries from our back hall bodega."

Monogram Coffee: "After working in the specialty coffee industry in many roles for many cafes in different cities, we came together with the belief that exceptional coffee should inspire wonder and warmth. We’ve grown a little bit from our humble beginnings as a pop-up coffee cart in the lovely DaDe Art and Design Lab, but we’ve never lost sight of the fact that to us, amazing coffee cannot exist without amazing people."

Philosáfy Coffee: "Philosáfy Coffee, pronounced fi-los-uh-fee, draws inspiration from western world history when coffee was first introduced – philosophers would often hang out in cafés to contemplate ideas. We hope to carry on that think tank tradition with people from all walks of life congregating here.

Good Trade: "We run a profitable coffee business as a mechanism to support our direct work with farmers and educators in the remote and marginalized regions of Colombia. In November 2019 we opened our first stand-alone coffee shop in Calgary's Kensington district, full of character and walkability."
