Happy December, Calgary!
The Holidays are officially upon us. Now is the time for sparkly lights hung up in trees, warm treats and drinks on a chilly day, cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies, gift wrapping and bows, treasured time with loved ones and a spirit of gratefulness. Similar to Narnia, in Calgary it can feel like it's always winter but never Christmas. However, in December, it's always Christmas and never winter.
Here at Team Ken Richter, we love Christmas. Ken Richter has been a trusted name in Calgary real estate for 35+ years, with special focus on the communities of Bowness, Montgomery and Bow Crescent. As a resident of Bowness for many years, Ken can attest to how beautiful this community is during the Holiday season and how much they offer for those looking to get into the spirit of Christmas.
Come on down to the community of Bowness this holiday season and check out the following festivities:
During Christmastime main street Bowness is always aglow with small-town holiday charm. From the decorations on lamp posts and lights in trees to the holiday shop windows, main street is here to get you in the spirit and be your holiday shopping destination! Don't just stop at main street, venture over to Valley Boutique for unique gifts and Angels Drive In for lunch!
The Bowness lagoon has become one of Calgary's most treasured outdoor skating destinations. Rent some skates, get a warm cup of hot cocoa, and bask in the twinkly lights and fresh air. While the lagoon hasn't quite frozen over enough to be open for skating yet, the Seasons of Bowness restaurant is right on the water and open for reservations! Keep your eye on the official parks website here to see more information.
There is no denying it: the residents of Bowness love Christmas. Take a drive through the community to check out their beautiful light displays. The Bowness Community Association is also hosting some upcoming Christmas events, such as the free gift wrapping evening. Find out what the community of Bowness is up to on their website, www.mybowness.com.
Enjoy the holidays, Calgary!
