Easter Hosting 101

Happy Easter!

It feels rather strange the Easter comes so early this year, but we're excited for the long weekend and time to spend with loved ones. If you're hosting the Easter gathering this year, here are some tips:

  • Create a festive atmosphere by decorating your home with Easter-themed decorations. Consider using fresh flowers, pastel-colored tableware, and Easter eggs as part of your decor. Don't forget to set the table with care, using your best linens and tableware to create an elegant and inviting setting.
  • Easter is often associated with delicious food, so be sure to plan a menu that will delight your guests. Consider serving traditional Easter dishes such as ham, lamb, or a spring vegetable quiche. Don't forget to include a variety of side dishes and desserts to satisfy all tastes, as well as making sure to be sensitive of dietary restrictions.
  • Offer a Variety of Activities Keep your guests entertained! Consider setting up an Easter egg hunt for the kids, or organizing a craft station where guests can decorate Easter eggs. You could also set up a photo booth with Easter-themed props to enjoy. Easter is a fun holiday for people of all ages, not just the little kids!
  • Hosting a gathering can be stressful, so be sure to take steps to create a relaxing atmosphere for both you and your guests. Consider playing soft music, lighting candles, and offering comfortable seating areas where guests can relax and enjoy each other's company. Also be sure to prep as much in advance as possible and share the tasks so that you can enjoy the festivities, too!
  • As your guests prepare to leave, consider sending them home with a small treat or party favor to thank them for attending. This could be a small bag of Easter candy or a homemade treat, such as cookies or cupcakes. This step goes the extra mile, and is always greatly appreciated.
