Father’s Day is this weekend on June 21, 2026. To all the Fathers and Father-Figures, we thank you for the ways in which you serve your families and seek to make the world a better place. Whether you've been a father for 60 years, or this is your very first Father's Day as a dad, you deserve celebration.
Here are three ideas for showering your Father with love this weekend, based on three different stages of fatherhood:
New Dads: Father’s Day is such a special day at any stage, but for a brand new Father it is a completely new celebration. This Dad might be feeling overwhelmed with all there is to learn in that first year. This is why a special, personalized book of advice makes a great gift. Ask important men in his life to share their best advice, then put it all together in a book with pictures of him and his special people. He will appreciate the advice and encouragement from those who have come before him. It is a forever keepsake that can be passed down generations.
Dad of Children and/or Young Adults: Nothing is as beautiful and exhausting as Fatherhood. A good gift idea for a dad of young children or adults is an evening out of the house to have some fun. Consider a gift card for his favourite restaurant, or reservations for an activity. Depending on the Dad, it could be for him to go alone, with his partner, or with friends.
Experienced Dad: When all of a Father’s children have flown away from the nest, the most valuable gift becomes time spent together. Take your Father out for dinner, go on a little day trip, bring him his favourite treat; anything where you are spending quality one-on-one time together. He will appreciate it more than any gift you could give him.
