Halloween Activities in Calgary

The Calgary Farmyard: The Calgary Farmyard has everything your heart could ever desire: baby goats, chickens, bunnies, lamas, mini golf, slides, fair-style games, a tractor pull, miniature train, corn maze, zip-line, snacks, drinks, a pumpkin patch and more! Throughout the yard are Instagram-worthy picture set ups, complete with all the rustic, autumnal charm everyone loves. While the ticket price is on the higher side at around $20/person (depending on the day and time), once you're inside the grounds, everything but food and pumpkin purchases are included. You could spend an entire afternoon and never run out of things to do. Check them out! Get your tickets here!

Ghoul's Night Out: Calgary's Heritage Park has always done an incredible job of ringing in each new season and holiday with some old-fashioned fun. Ghoul's Night out is the weekend of Halloween and a family-friendly event. Avenue Calgary writes, "Heritage Park decorates its streets for Halloween and this bash is especially fun for families with kids aged three to nine. Enjoy eight outdoor shows, grab a take-home craft kit, play a monster-sized game of Operation and creep through Tinkerman’s funhouse. Take your kids trick-or-treating through some of the historical buildings on October 31." Get your tickets here!

The Dash of Doom: If you're the kind of person or family that likes to participate in fun runs, check out the Dash of Doom! This event is a virtual and in-person event you can participate in. Dress up in a costume, turn on their curated Spooky Spotify playlist, and complete either a 5KM or 10KM run. Take a picture and enter to win a multitude of prices for best costume; your pet can even participate! Tickets range from free-$50, and all of the money raised goes towards a great cause: The Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society. This is a great precursor to a Halloween night filled with candy and trick-or-treating. Sign up here!

Have a great Halloween week, everyone! During these trying times, enjoying events and holidays like these is a great way to lift your spirits. We could all use a little more candy around here.
