July 5 - Mexifest : Celebrate Mexican culture during Calgary's annual Mexifest! There will be authentic Mexican goods for sale, live music, delicious food, exhibits and so much more. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about Calgary's Mexican community and to celebrate their heritage alongside them. Come out for a day of sunshine and fun!
July 6 - Bowness Community Stampede Parade : We love celebrating the Calgary Stampede each year with our friends and neighbours in Bowness! The Bowness Stampede Parade is such a fun community event, featuring local Bowness talent and Stampede-inspired floats. Fun Fact: Ken Richter was selected as the parade marshal one year!
July 7 - Puppy Pancake Brunch : If you love your canine and pancakes, this is the event for you. Come on out for the annual puppy pancake brunch, celebrating man's best friend and the Stampede! There will be free treats for your pooch, contests, a cool-off area and fantastic deals by local pet vendors. You are welcome whether you have a pup or not, and who knows; you may go home with one!
July 8 - Montgomery Monday Market : This celebration of the fantastic community of Montgomery is a fantastic opportunity for you to see everything Montgomery has to offer, from local talent to local vendors. You're sure to see friends old and new as you check out this market, which will be happening every Monday of both July & August! Check it out!
July 20 - Zero Waste Fest : As people make more of an effort to reduce their carbon footprint, zero waste options for things such as Shampoo, clothing, writing supplies, etc are becoming more popular. Calgary is at the forefront of this movement, and will be featuring all of the great zero-waste local options available at this fun event!
July 25 - Milky Way Nights : Check out the gorgeous night sky with the Rothney Observatory just outside of Calgary! Local astronomers will be available to show you all that our great skies have to showcase, including the annual Persied Meteor Shower and planets in sight! Learn something and have fun studying the skies late at night with the experts.
