June 2018 Events

Check out some of the events happening in Calgary this month! For more information, check out Avenue Magazine's great list.

Banff Yoga Festival || June 1 - 3 || Banff || Yogis everywhere rejoice! The Banff Yoga festival is this weekend. This festival has workshops, speakers, a market and more. Come celebrate the art of yoga! For more information visit their website HERE.

Little Modern Market || June 2 || Rally Pointe || The founders of the Little Modern Market say, "we started Little Modern Market, when we saw that something was missing from the Calgary market scene. Living in the suburbs, heading downtown isn’t always the easiest option, so bringing the same fun, and welcoming market scene to us, was our goal!" Check it out by visiting their website HERE

Run Bowness || June 3 || Bowness Community || Celebrate the Bowness community by volunteering or participating in this fun annual event! They write, "within minutes, most of us can 'lose the city' and fall in step with the natural rhythms of the river as we run along the Bow, in the company of age old Douglas Firs and in the shadow of the mountain. This year's Run Bowness, will take advantage of all three as our 10k, 5k and Kids Mile will take runners through the neighbourhood and along the river towards personal bests." For more information visit their website HERE

Mural Launch Party in Bowness || June 11 || Bowness Mainstreet || "It’s been 8 YEARS since the Bowness Gas Plus was demolished. However, 150 high school students and hundreds of volunteer hours later we will finally have something special at the corner of Bowness Rd. and 63rd St. N.W." Enjoy free pancakes and meet local politicians and Bowness business owners. Check out their facebook event HERE

Sled Island || June 20 - 24 || Various Calgary Locations || If you love supporting local musicians this event is for you. Check out the great line up! THUMP writes, "During the Sled Island Music & Arts Festival, the city hosts one of the best à la carte club-hopping experiences, drawing both international and homegrown headliners.” For more information visit their website HERE
