Every month the Calgary Real Estate Board releases a report detailing what has been happening in the real estate market. These reports provide valuable information to sellers, buyers, and investors alike. Real estate requires strategic decision making, so staying informed is crucial to ensure you are making the best moves possible.
Here are the highlights from The The Calgary Real Estate Board's market report for February 2026, which you can read in full by clicking here:
- "Inventory levels reached 4,822 units in February, with condominiums and row homes representing more than half of all the inventory" (The Calgary Real Estate Board).
- "There were 1,526 sales in February, an 11 per cent decline over last February, mostly due to a sharp pullback in row and apartment sales" (The Calgary Real Estate Board).
- "The total residential benchmark price [was] $560,500" (The Calgary Real Estate Board).
- Calgary Real Estate Board Chief Economist Ann-Marie Lurie notes, "slowing migration levels are coming at a time when supply for apartment-style homes is rising... 18,000 units [are] currently under construction. While a large share [are] targeted for rental, this also impacts condo ownership markets. Meanwhile... the detached market remains relatively balanced in the higher price ranges and continues to struggle with limited supply for homes priced below $700,000" (The Calgary Real Estate Board).
