Happy May, Calgary! Here are some of the fun events happening around our city this month:
May 6-7 Calgary International BeerFest: "The Calgary International Beerfest brings the beer world together at Canada’s largest beer festival. Rated as one of the best beer festivals in the world, with 700+ beers from 200+ breweries, and so many innovative destinations within the festival, your biggest challenge will be deciding where to start."
May 15 Bowness Spring Clean Up: "The Bowness Spring Clean Up is a partnership between the Bowness Community Association, the City of Calgary, and other local organizations and businesses to provide free disposal services to our community. Residents can drop off their unwanted items to various recycling vendors and/or the City of Calgary garbage trucks."
May 16-27 Esso and Telus Cups: "For the first time, Canada’s national U18 club championships will be hosted together, with Pason Centennial Arenas in Okotoks welcoming the Esso Cup and TELUS Cup, May 16-22. With the Esso Cup having produced National Women’s Team alumnae like Brigette Lacquette and Sophie Shirley, and the TELUS Cup alumni list including Sidney Crosby, Steve Yzerman and Jordan Eberle, don’t miss your chance to watch the stars of tomorrow compete for a national championship!"
May 29 The Calgary Marathon: "For 58 years, the Servus Calgary Marathon has been at the forefront of running in this country, attracting runners from all over the world to discover our city while staying true to our western roots and loyal to our homegrown runners. Lace up in May of 2022 to be a part of the next chapter."
