Calgary is one of the fastest growing cities in Canada right now. Yes, everyone wants to come so they can work in the oil field. However, people are drawn to Calgary for so much more.
Calgary is not just a city, it is a community. It is a massive network of people who value culture, art, history, innovation, and, of course, the wild, wild west. Not only are the people here beautiful, but the landscape is, too. We get the best of all words: prairies, foothills, and the gorgeous Rocky Mountains. Anyone who lives in Calgary considers themselves a lucky ambassador of one of the best cities in the country.
Residence in Calgary is in high demand, giving it a booming real estate market that continues to have hundreds of homes added to the inventory each year. Calgary keeps expanding in every direction. It seems like every week a new community is rising out of construction and providing homes for the plethora of people moving here.
What are some new neighbourhoods to keep yours eyes out for this year?
The community of Harmony in the northwest is bringing almost 3500 homes to the market, all in a beautiful location that is going to develop into a picturesque addition to Calgary. With a Michelson designed Golf course, a village of retailers, and plenty of paths and green space, Harmony is going to be one hot commodity in 2015!
Mahogany has done a terrific job of advertising their community. It is only 1/3 completed, but it is already one of the most hip places for new residents. It is expected to continue to grow, catering to new families and anyone who loves a lakeside feel.
The neighbourhood of Legacy boasts luxury living, and it certainly has ample opportunity to provide just that with its stunning location! It is going to provide a number of different housing options, from condos, to semi-detached homes, to estate homes. There is something for everyone!
While Team Ken Richter focuses on the communities of Bowness and Montgomery, we have a plethora of experience in working with hopeful homeowners from areas all over Calgary. Calgary is such a beautiful city: we love living here, and we hope you will, too.
