It’s camping season! This summer has ushered in incredible weather, with plenty of rain and heat. The grass is green, the water is cool, and the sun is shining. Many Calgarians are taking advantage of this beautiful weather by packing up and heading to their favorite campsite to breathe in the fresh air. Looking for some tips and tricks to make your camping experience better? Here are some of our favorites:

Frozen Water Bottles: Instead of buying a bunch of ice for your cooler that will melt and leave a mess, instead buy a flat of water. Campgrounds in Alberta are always full, but this year most are booked solid. If you didn't book your campsite back in May when reservations opened, chances are you are going to have an incredibly hard time finding a spot. However, that doesn't mean you can't get outside and enjoy the great outdoors. Alberta has a lot of overnight sights, but also a lot of day use picnic areas that are first come, first served.
