Calgary loves to celebrate the holidays. A drive through any neighbourhood will quickly get you in the Christmas spirit. Remembrance Day 2020

Tomorrow, November 11, is Remembrance Day. 

The Canadian Encyclopedia writes, "Remembrance Day is a yearly memorial day that is observed in many Commonwealth countries, including Canada, to remember those who died in military service, and honor those who served in wartime. It is observed across Canada each year on 11 November — the anniversary of the Armistice agreement of 1918 that ended the First World War. November 2020 Events

There are a handful of events happening this month that we are excited to share with you!

First, it's important to take note of November 11th happening next Wednesday. This Remembrance Day is a stat holiday for most Calgarians as per usual, but is going to look different this year. Due to COVID cases rising across the city and new restrictions set in place by Alberta Health Services, ceremonies in memorial to our veterans are going to look different. Military sites such as museums and the Memorial Drive feild of crosses will be open to visitors, but large scale ceremonies are being held as virtual events. Last Minute Halloween Costumes

Happy Halloween!

A spooky weekend is ahead with plenty of notable events. First, Halloween is on a Saturday! This means you can stay up late without worrying about waking up early for work or school the next day. Second, Saturday night there will be a full moon! Full moon's are always spooky, but with this one falling on Halloween, it's sure to add some extra moodiness to the atmosphere.
